The washrooms/showers were immaculate. Small convenience store, gas/diesel, hardware store and take out restaurant are conveniently located beside the campground. Our site backed onto a beautiful pond and we enjoyed waking up to the wildlife in the area. Larger grocery store is only a 10 minute drive away.
So I'm so confused on how to rate! Last year we went to this campground and had a great time. The place is clean and quiet. So peaceful. Staff was nice. However when I called to book another week in paradise I was helped by an unpleasant gentleman who acted as if I was bothering him to try to make a reservation. Once I picked my dates I was told the whole amount was due. The last time I was there they took a hefty deposit but not the whole thing. The money is not an issue and I know that I wouldn't cancel at the last min. However his attitude made me rethink my choice. I have booked a week at a site down the road.
The campground was close to roanoake island and just outside of Nags Head. It only took 10 minutes to get to the beach.
Ideal location for exploring the OuterBanks if you are looking for a tranquil environment. Ron, the manager, was extremely helpful and a very good reason for us to return to this campsite.
We loved our stay here. Well kept park with large sites and beautiful views of the lake. Very clean and a very nice manager. Swimming pool and nearby braces and shopping. We will come here again.
Nice, clean facilities; convenient location for visiting Roanoke Island and the nearby Outer Banks. More grass than expected for the sandy soil; a beautiful lake and boardwalk. Particularly nice pavilion.

We just completed our stay and loved this campground. It is small but beautiful and peaceful and very well kept. Our site backed up to the water. The bathhouse was impeccable!
